The NormaTec PCD is FDA-cleared for the following medical conditions:
The Treatment of:
- Venous stasis ulceration
- Venous insufficiency
- Post-mastectomy lymphedema

Acquired lymphedema
(secondary to cancer and also following trauma, inflammation, surgery and/or radiation treatment) - Congenital lymphedema
- Other edematous conditions
The Prevention of:
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Contra-indication for use:
- Acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Co-morbidities, such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, arterial insufficiency, infections, cancer, post-phlebitic syndrome, and end-stage renal failure, are NOT contra-indications.
